Thank you everyone for your concern for Kangaroo Island Oats and the wider community on Kangaroo Island.
We cannot deny that these bushfires have caused incredible devastation to an enormous multitude of families, businesses and wilderness areas across the whole Island, and particularly to the western end. It is very heartbreaking.
We have had the fire come through our property on Thursday night, 9th of January. We have lost some of our farm and fencing, but we are very thankful to still have our home and all of our infrastructure intact.
Fortunately, we still have stock of Kangaroo Island Oats with existing stock stored in Adelaide and the stock we have on the island is unharmed. We are also pleased to say that the sealed silos, where last season’s harvest is stored and ready to be milled, are unaffected.
We are very touched by the number of people and businesses that are indicating they would like to support Kangaroo Island Oats. We have a couple of good friends and families that have been instrumental in helping us get Kangaroo Island Oats working as a business. These families have suffered very significant losses, so as a company, we would love to return our customer’s goodwill to them at this time.
We remain open for business as usual whether that be through an online order, or by contacting us via email or phone, and deliveries will arrive as per standard delivery schedule. We are grateful for your support, and the support of all the people that are continuing to help us and the wider Kangaroo Island community.
