Chocolate Brownies

This is the perfect chocolate brownie for anytime you need a little ‘pick me up’ or sweet indulgence. They were created originally for our shearer’s ‘morning smoko’… full of energy! … but they are great anytime.

250g dark chocolate
75g butter
2 desertspoons cocoa powder
200g brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup Kangaroo Island ‘Quick’ Oats


  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees celcius. Line a 27cm x 18cm slice tray with baking paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate and butter, stirring regularly
  3. Add cocoa powder and sugar.
  4. Beat in eggs, one at a time with wooden spoon. Mix will be shiny and smooth.
  5. Stir in oats. Pour into tray and cook for 25-30mins. Allow to cool in the tin.
