Kangaroo Island Oats has been proudly supporting FoodBank South Australia over the past couple of months and into this winter season.
As we have all realised recently, tough circumstances can happen to anyone and many individuals and families have been finding it very hard to put healthy food on the table, particularly during these unprecedented Covid-19 times.
FoodBank SA is an amazing organisation that has been helping to feed vulnerable South Australian’s since the year 2000. It is the largest hunger relief organisation in South Australia, supplying food assistance to over 126,000+ South Australian’s every month.
FoodBank SA support over 500 School Breakfast Programs across South Australia. These programs help to provide healthy, nutritious food to children in need who turn up to school hungry.
Kangaroo Island Oats has been very pleased to be able to donate a stock of our nutritious Oats to Food Bank SA leading into this challenging winter. Many of these Oats will be distributed by FoodBank SA to schools for the breakfast programs across the state, and also via mobile Food hub’s to families in need in our community.
Sarah Davies from FoodBank SA says “Thank you so much for your kind donation of KI Oats to Foodbank SA; this is so incredibly generous especially during this unprecedented time.
In South Australia, more than 1 in 4 South Australian children are going hungry every year. The KI Oats will contribute to over one hundred thousand breakfasts across the state that we will distribute this term alone.
With winter on its way, these KI Oats will help to warm little Rumbling Tummies. Together, we are ensuring no child goes without.”
